Effectiveness, Implementation and Real-World Experience with Extended-Release Naltrexone (XR-NTX): A Special Issue of JSAT

Extended-release naltrexone (XR-NTX) has several properties that make it an important addition to the pharmacopoeia for addictive disorders. It has no abuse potential, is administered monthly and, creating no physiological dependence, has no withdrawal syndrome on discontinuation.
