Lung cancer kills approximately 158,000 yearly, accounting for more deaths than the next 4 most lethal types of cancer combined.1 In 2011, the National Lung Screening Trial demonstrated a 20% reduction in lung cancer deaths with the use of a low-dose CT scan in select high-risk populations.2
