Doctors Are Still Prescribing Codeine For Kids After Tonsillectomies, Despite FDA Warning
Despite a warning by the FDA regarding the significant safety risks of opioids, a new study published in Pediatrics finds that 1 in 20 children were still prescribed codeine after having a tonsillectomy and/or adenoidectomy, according to data through 2015.
