Phoenix will sue drug makers over costs to battle opioid crisis

Phoenix will join other cities in suing drug makers over the cost of fighting the ongoing opioid crisis, according to The Arizona Republic. The city council voted 8-0 to take drug makers and distributors to court to recoup funds spent fighting the epidemic. Mayor Greg Stanton and Councilwomen Thelda Williams and Debra Stark broached the subject with City Manager Ed Zuercher in a letter last week.
