Children undergoing radiation for cancer may have alternative to sedation

(University of North Texas) Radiation therapy for children with cancer is painless, but preparation for it may cause great stress for a child and his or her family because the child is routinely sedated before each treatment, to stay motionless. Manish Vaidya at the University of North Texas is using a computer program to train young patients to stay motionless so sedation won't be necessary.
