Disneyland guests contracted Legionnaires' disease

Disneyland has shut down two bacteria-contaminated cooling towers after visitors to the California theme park contracted Legionnaires ’ disease. The Orange County Health Care Agency said 12 people, aged 52 to 94, contracted the bacteria that causes the disease in September. Ten were hospitalized with the disease, also known as legionellosis, a lung infection that is caused by contaminated water or mist and which can cause pneum onia.
