Combined Haploidentical and Umbilical Cord Blood Allogeneic Stem Cell Transplantation for High-Risk Lymphoma and CLL
• CD34 selected haploidentical cells are combined with Umbilical Cord Blood (haplo-cord) stem cells as donor source• Rapid neutrophil (median 11 days) and platelet recovery (19 days) is achieved because of the haplo-graft, but durable hematopoiesis resulting from the UCB graft with a very low in cidence of chronic GVHD (8%).• 42 patients with advanced lymphoma or CLL were treated and had 3-year OS, PFS and GRFS of 65%, 62% and 52% respectively.
