Changes in the distribution of hepatitis C virus genotypes and their association with shifts in transmission routes in Henan, China
ConclusionsThe most prevalent genotype was still 1b among CHC patients in the Henan province, China. The prevalence of genotype 1b has decreased overtime, and that of genotype 6a has increased in younger patients. The change is attributed to a shift in HCV transmission routes. This study provided further evidence for the prevention and treatment of hepatitis C in future.
