Analysis of pellet coating uniformity using a computer scanner

The analysis of the individual particle coating thicknesses was based on using a transparent orange colored coating layer deposited on white pellet cores. Besides the analysis of the coating thickness the information of pellet size and shape was obtained as well. Particle size dependent coating thickness and particle size independent coating variability was calculated by combining the information of coating thickness and pellet size. Decoupling coating thickness variation sources is unique to presented method. For each coating experiment around 10000 pellets were analyzed, giving results with a high statistical confidence. Proposed method was employed for the performance evaluation of classical Wurster and swirl enhanced Wurster coater operated at different gap settings and air flow rates. Graphical abstract

ConclusionThe common genetic variation in NKG2D does not correlate significantly with sporadic CC risk. This is in contrast to the previous positive findings in the Scandinavian study with PSC-patients. The failure to reproduce the association may reflect an important difference between the pathogenesis of sporadic CC and that of PSC-related CC. Given that genetic susceptibility is likely to be multifaceted and complex, further validation studies that include both sporadic and PSC-related CC are required.

ConclusionAlthough patients with MYC-R lymphoma have been reported to be at high risk of primary treatment failure, this was not predicted by iPET+ results. Thus, the iPET result should not be used to guide changes in front-line or consolidative therapy for these patients.
