Responses to the concern raised by Dr. Shigeki Matsubara

Dr. Shigeki Matsubara had raised several questions about our published work [1]. It must be noted that the study period nearly two years ago. This paper was to introduce our primary experience of using aortic balloon catheters for preventing postpartum hemorrhage (PPH) caused by placenta previa and abnormally invasive placenta (AIP). Broekman et al. [2] also performed temporary balloon occlusion of the internal iliac arteries to prevent PPH during cesarean delivery among 42 patients with placenta previa.
