Hi all! Fairly new here and have been searching past threads on advice but have not found anything similar to my situation so hopefully I can get advice here! I am considering a career change from Business to Pharmacy. I graduated with a BS last December and have worked for almost a year now in my field to find that this is not something that I see myself in long term. I've always been fascinated by people and medicine which led me to considering Pharmacy School. My plan is to take the... Pharm Tech while in pre-pharm in Florida?
I have a specific question about what to do about those 4 upper division courses I'll need to apply to vet school. I have finished the bio, chem, and physics sequences but don't want to get a second bachelor's degree (my first one was in social science). How do I go about getting those four classes at a 4-year without enrolling in a second bachelor's?
when talking about reaction diagram for formation of a compound, a note on the side says- "Note that the free energy of the products can be raised or lowered, thereby changing the vaue of Delta G without affecting value of Ea" Can someone explain how this is possible/ link a video that explains it? Thanks
I was just curious what everyone's thoughts are about this program. I interviewed there and it seemed like a great place to train. Great location, premier regional, strong didactics, great variety of cases, etc. Makes me wonder why it isn't a more recognized and sought after program. Any thoughts? Thanks.
Hey all, I am in a slight predicament. I recently realized that I took an upper level science college class my junior year of high school that was 1 credit, in which I received a B+. It totally slipped my mind when applying, and I did not enter the course. This was the only college level class I took before beginning undergrad. I am matriculating at a medical school in the fall, and will need to send all my transcripts in. Should I call admissions and inform them of this class? Or is it... Forgot to report college class taken in high school - need help!
I am an MS3 at a mid-tier school. I was middling average to above average in pre-clinical classes, but I scored a low 250s on Step 1, and I have a 1st author paper in a Nature journal (basic science), + 2 middle author papers, + posters and a research funding award from my school. I may be able to crank out another paper in clinical GI research before the end of the year - fingers crossed. I have completed 3 rotations so far. I got Honors on my first rotation, which was in a surgical... Red flag or not on residency application.
Hey guys! First year is going pretty well so far... and I've decided to try and add another furry friend to my home. I applied for a dog from a breed rescue and should hear back sometime next week. I get the feeling that adopting a dog from this rescue is pretty competitive. They get a lot of applications and try to match the right dog with a person. I was told 2/3 of applicants don't get accepted. Would being a vet student help my case? I talked about how I have a yard and that I'm willing... Do rescues like to adopt to vet students?
I’m currently a freshman at Johns Hopkins, and I’m considering transferring to UNC. I’m not that unhappy here, but I definitely think I would be happier at a school like UNC. I’m doing pretty well in my classes (I’m expecting a ~3.8 this semester) but I’m not sure if this will stay as classes get harder (I’m a Molecular and Cellular Bio major with a possible double in Public Health). I have a few friends who go to UNC (also premed) and overall they just seem to be having a much better... Should I transfer out of Hopkins?
