Microdissection testicular sperm extraction in Finland –results of the first 100 patients

ConclusionsOur SRR is comparable with international results, and cumulative live birth rate similar to other ICSI indications in Finland. Physicians and specialists need to be made aware of new treatment options to enable biological fatherhood for men with non‐obstructive azoospermia. This article is protected by copyright. Abstract Polydatin (PD), a monocrystalline polyphenolic drug mainly found in the roots of Polygonum cuspidatum, has various pharmacological activities. Long non-coding RNAs (lncRNA) DiGeorge syndrome critical region gene 5 (DGCR5) was found to participate in the suppression of multiple cancers. Here, we proposed to study the effect of PD on myocardial infarction (MI) by inducing DGCR5. CCK-8 assay was performed to detect the viability of H9c2 cells. Flow cytometry was utilized to test apoptosis of H9c2 cells. These results determined the optimal concentration and effect time of hypoxia as well as PD. Si-DGCR5 was ...

Abstract Water is essential for life survival and development. It plays a pivotal role in metabolic function, modulates normal osmotic pressure, maintains the electrolyte balance, and regulates body temperature. Adequate water intake is necessary for optimal hydration-both excessive and insufficient water consumption can have adverse effects on health. Water requirements among people vary based on various factors such as gender, age, physical activity, dietary factors, ambient temperature, and renal concentrating capacity. In recent years, water intake guidelines have been developed in some countries and by some o...

Conclusion: The reduction of tinnitus in the current ABI subject may be attributable to partial peripheral reafferentation-induced deactivation of the parahippocampus-based tinnitus generator as well as the salience network. Further validation is required by the use of a follow-up study with a larger number of subjects.

Abstract IntroductionTesticular microdissection sperm extraction (MD‐TESE) combined with intracytoplasmic sperm injection (ICSI) has made biological fatherhood possible for many men with the most severe form of male infertility, non‐obstructive azoospermia. MD‐TESE was introduced in Turku in 2008, and by 2015, 100 Finnish men with non‐obstructive azoospermia have been operated on. Material and methodsThe average age of the men was 33 years at the time of surgery. Forty‐eight had a needle biopsy previously and 56% had a testicular size
