148 The sawtooth EKG pattern of typical atrial flutter is not related to differences in conduction velocity around the flutter circuit

Introduction: Typical atrial flutter (AFL) is described as cavotricuspid isthmus (CTI) dependent. The P  waves have a classic saw tooth pattern on the ECG. A widely accepted explanation for this is slow conduction through the CTI region. Using the high-density Rhythmia mapping system, we aimed to facilitate a more complete understanding of the link between the classic ECG and the local conduction vel ocity of the activation wavefront in typical AFL.
