[Correspondence] Tranexamic acid for post-partum haemorrhage in the WOMAN trial – Authors' reply

Alicia Therese Dennis and James D Griffiths believe that women in high-income countries with post-partum haemorrhage should not receive tranexamic acid for the following reasons: the WOMAN trial1 was mostly done in middle-income countries and so the results are not generalisable and death from bleeding is rare in high-income countries where women more often die from the complications of bleeding.
