BU study marks key step toward diagnosing CTE in living football players

Researchers at Boston University have previously documented how scores of deceased former football players suffered from chronic traumatic encephalopathy, a brain disease linked to repeated head trauma. But CTE can only be diagnosed through autopsies, posing a significant hurdle to developing treatments.
