GOP health care bill could cost Minnesota billions
Minnesota stands to come out a lot worse under the latest Republican effort to repeal the Affordable Care Act, if the last-ditch effort succeeds next week.
The Star Tribune reports on the effects of the proposed legislation, which would replace federal health funding with block grants to states. Washingto, D.C.-based health care consulting firm Avalere Health crunched the numbers and found that Minnesota would receive $8 billion less over 10 years un der the Graham-Cassidy bill than it gets now.
