Mitochondrial Neurogastrointestinal Encephalomyopathy in the Differential Diagnosis of Eating Disorders

We report a second case presentation that similarly highlights a young adult with MNGIE who was initially thought to have anorexia ner vosa. A 20-year-old female was referred to our eating disorders program, carrying a diagnosis of anorexia nervosa after a 2-year history of an unexplained 30-pound weight loss and abdominal pain.
