CEVL interactive – it is feasible for Pediatric Urology fellows to create pediatric urological surgical plans: a case study of Botox endoscopic injection

Effectively and efficiently performing pediatric urological surgeries requires the pediatric urologist to ‘team’ with the entire operating room (OR) staff. Yet there are no existing methods with which to assure that the members of this team have working knowledge of the specific procedures they are expected to perform. Traditionally, surgeon training has relied on immersive clinical operative experi ence. Such real-time training may be supplemented with review of video clips, if available. Similarly, circulating nurses and surgical technicians typically train together under the supervision of the nursing staff, also by immersion in the operating room.
