Restless legs syndrome related to hemorrhage of a thoracic spinal cord cavernoma.
CONCLUSION/CLINICAL RELEVANCE: We hypothesize a possible involvement of the diencephalospinal pathway in the patient's RLS pathophysiology. A systematic study of focal lesions associated with RLS may contribute to improving our understanding of the pathophysiological mechanisms underlying this condition. The frequency of RLS associated with lesions of the spinal cord might be underestimated. Clinicians should be aware of spinal cord lesion-related RLS, especially as efficient treatments are available. PMID: 28899286 [PubMed - as supplied by publisher]

Conclusion: Plasma levels of adiponectin are associated with the ASPECTS scores.RESUMO Introdu ção: A Alberta Stroke Early Score (ASPECTS) foi desenvolvida para monitorização de alterações isquêmicas precoces na tomografia computadorizada de crânio, estando associada a desfechos clínicos. A ASPECTS também pode se associar aos biomarcadores periféricos que refletem a resposta fisio patológica do cérebro ao AVC isquêmico. Objetivo: Investigar à associação entre os parâmetros periféricos com a Alber...

In conclusion, the information on bioavailable mercury estimated by bioreporter E. coli ARL1 is valuable, but the results must be interpreted with caution. The route to functional bioavailability bioassay remains long.
ConclusionWe found a high prevalence of depression. Its negative effects on the individual and increased costs to the health system, supports the screening and treatment of the disease in the older population. This problem should be a national priority, with screening and treatment becoming part of the national quality of care indicators which would then be implemented by the HMOs as part of an integrated disease management program for the elderly.
We report on the feasibility of implementing such standardized assessments into routine clinical care via measures of adherence. We also report on initial analyses of the data within the database that provide insights into the opportunities to track change. This initiative highlights the feasibility of collecting clinical data using a standardized assessment measure across acute and inpatient rehabilitation care settings. Practice-based evidence may inform future research by contributing pilot data and systematic observations that may lead to the development of empirical studies, which can then feed back into clinical practice.
