066 Methods for grading severity of ocular involvement in patients with mucous membrane pemphigoid

A review of the literature to describe and evaluate the grading methods for ocular involvement in mucous membrane pemphigoid (OcMMP) was completed. Three online databases: MEDLINE, EMBASE and Scopus, were utilised by using a comibnation of search terms. The abstracts of all articles were then appraised for relevance and duplicates exlcuded. Articles of all languages were included using translated abstracts. OcMMP is characterised by chronic cicatrising conjunctivitis that leads to ocular surface disease such as dry eye, symblephara, corneal ulceration, trichiasis, entropion/ectropion and eventually vision loss.
