Anthem Blue Cross and Blue Shield in Ohio revealed that use of prescribed opioids dropped dramatically over the past year for its 3.4 million individual and employer-sponsored health plan members, which the Mason-based insurer said was the result of its effort to help combat the state ’s epidemic of drug addiction.
