L.A. jury awards $417M in baby powder cancer lawsuit against Johnson & Johnson

A Los Angeles jury that agreed there was a connection between a woman ’s use of Johnson& Johnson talcum powder products and her terminal ovarian cancer have awarded the woman $417 million in compensatory and punitive damages. Eva Echeverria, 63, was unable to attend the trial because of her illness, but said in a recorded deposition that she used Johnson’s Baby Powder from age 11 until 2016.
