I apologize if I come across as whiny but this has been bothering me and I just wanted some input. I have a couple friends and a friend of a friend who have interviews at two particular schools that I also applied to. My dilemma is that I objectively have a better application then all of them, yet I still don't have interviews at these schools. I have a much better MCAT (up to>10 points better), research with a publication and a poster (they don't have any research), WAY more leadership,... How much bearing does a parent being an alumni hold?
Hi, I think I want to try to become a brain scientist, but I'm trained in pretty much an unrelated field--teaching, and I'm in a lot of debt. What should I do if I seriously want to pursue this and change careers?
I studied Engineering (Operations Research) in undergraduate and have been working at a corporate firm for 2.5 years. I am looking to attend medical school and have done some research on options for non-trad applicants like me. It looks like you can either take pre-req courses at a state school or attend a formal post-bacc program. Among the post-bacc programs, there are ones with linkages as well. I am personally interested in doing the post-bacc program. I know it's costly and the... Chances for Top Post-Bacc Programs
Why aren't they more widely used? For non-controlled maintenance meds they would solve so many problems. Think about it, you essentially get unlimited refills for a year. No more "but I'm out of pills and my appointment is next week" Some girl loses a birth control packet and is willing to pay out of pocket for an emergency supply. Why not? Etc etc
Does anyone have any experience or sources/interviews of Physicians that work in the CIA? The CIA website here Physician — Central Intelligence Agency doesn't really offer much in detail about the duties and job description. There was an old thread here Cia back in 2007 that asked the same question and there wasn't much... What exactly do Physicians in the CIA do?
