Moderate and vigorous physical activity patterns among marijuana users: Results from the 2007 –2014 National Health and Nutrition Examination Surveys
Marijuana use has more than doubled in the last decade in the United States (US) (Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration, 2014). Given increasing legislation supporting both medical and non-medical use of marijuana, the actual prevalence of marijuana use in the US is likely to substantially increase in coming years. Concurrently, the US is experiencing epidemic levels of obesity, diabetes, cardiovascular disease (Roger et al., 2012), and sedentary behavior (Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, 2014a,b).

Major efficacy and safety parameters of the late phase trials, including The Cycloset Safety Trial, have been identified and presented. EXPERT OPINION: Efficacy of bromocriptine mesylate QR monotherapy appears to be low but is compensated by favorable safety pr...
Abstract Trace metals concentrations of 25 elements were determined for 22 subcomponents of biodegradable and non-biodegradable waste samples representing the United States municipal solid waste (MSW) stream collected during three separate waste sorts. The subcomponent trace metal concentrations and estimated composition results were used to predict trace metal concentrations present in the overall MSW stream along with MSW compost and waste to energy (WTE) ash, which were compared to health-based standards (i.e., US EPA regional screening levels) and to values previously reported in the literature. These estimate...

By DAVID INTROCASO THCB readers are well aware this coming week Senate Republicans plan to begin debate on passing their amended version of the House-passed American Health Care Act (AHCA), titled the Better Care Reconciliation Act. As of today, June 23rd, immediate reactions by Republican senators to the June 22nd released discussion draft have been limited largely because members immediately left town after the draft’s release. The Congressional Budget Office’s (CBO’s) score, that will again be influential, is expected this Monday or Tuesday. Senate debate on the legislation will likely begi...
