GP Forward View: assessment of progress - year 1

This report assess the progress on the first year of implementation of the General practice forward view. The report finds that there has been progress on many areas, notably on additional investment but warns that the government recruitment commitment of 5,000 GPs may need to be reconsidered. Additionally, it highlights the imperative to find solutions to spiralling indemnity costs, and identifies the need to improve the delivery of some programmes, so that they provide GPs and their teams with the lifeline that they urgently require.ReportPress release
