Histoid leprosy with oral manifestation
A 42-year-old male patient presented for evaluation of nodular lesions in the mouth of unknown etiology. Medical history revealed histoid leprosy in treatment with multidrug therapy for multibacillary leprosy for 19 months. Dermatologic examination revealed bilateral madarosis, multiple papules and nodules in the abdomen, cutaneous hypochromic lesions, and loss of tactile, thermal, and pain sensitivity in the lower limbs. Intraoral examination showed purplish nodules on hard and soft palate, firm to the touch, painless, ranging from 8 mm to 2 cm in diameter.
