To that end, the Center is interested in searching museum and other databases to research and complement historical records from across the hydrographic Great Basin. In arid regions like the Great Basin, jumping mice are closely associated with riparian and moist meadows thereby providing tractable systems for simultaneously asking many applied questions. To gather appropriate data, the Center would be interested in re-surveying small mammals in the vicinity of all historical records of jumping mice across the hydrologic Great Basin.
