Antipsychotics and Cerebrovascular Accidents: Taking or Not the  Risk?

Antipsychotics are widely and increasingly prescribed drugs. Initially introduced for schizophrenia, they are now used for a variety of diseases such as psychotic and affective disorders, personality and anxiety disorders. In recent years, they have been utilized for the treatment of agitation in elderly patients who show cognitive disturbances.
