American Academy of Pediatrics. 06/15/2017 The goal of the course is to increase the learner ' s knowledge regarding the epidemiology, clinical manifestations, prevention, and diagnosis of three uncommon but emerging infections: dengue, chikungunya, and Zika. These diseases can now be transmitted across the globe in a matter of hours, and it is crucial that pediatricians, including hospital emergency physicians, be prepared to diagnose/treat these diseases when they occur. They are discussed together because they share similarities in transmission and some clinical manifestations. (Text) Site requires free registration.
