Long-term influence of fixed lingual retainers on the development of gingival recession: A retrospective, longitudinal cohort study.

CONCLUSIONS: Long-term presence of fixed lingual retainers does not seem to increase the development of mandibular gingival recession, but does increase calculus accumulation.
