Maryland Heights nursing home operator to pay $8.3 million in Medicare settlement

Maryland Heights-based nursing home operator Reliant Care Group LLC and several affiliates agreed to pay $8.3 million in a civil settlement with the U.S. Department of Justice to resolve claims they provided unnecessary physical, speech and occupational therapy to nursing home residents that was then billed to Medicare, the U.S. Attorney's Office said Wednesday.
