Digirad wins $100m DoD contract for CT equipment

Digirad Corp. (NSDQ:DRAD) won a maximum $100 million contract with the US Department of Defense to supply computed tomography imaging equipment devices, according to a DoD release posted on Monday. The firm-fixed-price, indefinite-delivery and indefinite-quantity 5-year base contract comes with an additional 5-year option period, according to a DoD release. The contract’s completion date is set for June 29, 2022. Digirad won out against 26 other groups who competed for the contract, according to the release. Through the deal, Digirad will supply CT imaging equipment devices to the US Air Force, Army, Navy, Marine Corps and federal civilian agencies.
