Aortic valve perforation secondary to blunt force trauma.
We report the case of a 63-year-old man who had a motor vehicle collision resulting in transection of the descending thoracic aorta, splenic pseudoaneurysm, and rupture of an aortic valve cusp causing severe aortic regurgitation. This study included 1249 consecutive patients undergoing either transcatheter aortic valve implantation (TAVI), Mitraclip, left atrial appendage occlusion (LAAO) or paravalvular leak closure (PVLC).
