In the original article, Figure 2a incorrectly showed a mean of −0.34 for Full-Scale Intelligence Quotient (FSIQ) score in the fourth quartile of Sum4 polybrominated diphenyl ethers (PBDEs). The correct mean should have been −3.40. The corrected Figure 2 appears in this erratum. Figure 2. ConclusionsAutistic mothers face unique challenges and the stigma associated with autism may further exacerbate communication difficulties. Greater understanding and acceptance amongst individuals who interact with autistic mothers is needed, and autistic mothers would benefit from additional and better-tailored support.

CONCLUSION: Disability to modulate GABA-A-r expression during pregnancy and restore its previous state after parturition appears to trigger PPD. The GABAergic system is a promising pharmacotherapy target. From preclinical to clinical studies for about twenty years the GABAergic system has been incriminated and targeted in this challenging mental disease. Conclusions: The current review found that quantitative research about PA barriers and facilitators in people with epilepsy is still in its infancy, but PA participation is associated with a range of biological, social, and psychological factors which should be considered in rehabilitation programs. Implications for rehabilitation Many people living with epilepsy do not engage in physical activity on a regular basis. Children with epilepsy who are member of a sports club are more physically active. Depression, anxiety, and perceived stigma are important barriers for being active in adults with epilepsy. Side-effects of ant...

This study examined the links between maternal caregiving burden and maternal and child adjustment, and whether these links were mediated and moderated by maternal coping strategies. Cross-sectional data were collected from 173 Chinese families with kindergarten aged children with special needs in Hong Kong, China (mean age  = 61.53 months; 72% of them were boys). Using questionnaires, mothers rated their caregiving burden, use of different coping strategies, and the adjustment of themselves and their children with special needs. Results demonstrated that maternal caregiving burden was negatively associa...

Pregnancy and childbirth are often an exciting, happy time in a family’s life, but it is also an incredibly stressful time to the whole family. This becomes even more difficult when mom works. Caring for a newborn (especially the first born or a child with special needs) is a significant time commitment. This becomes more challenging as moms and other caregivers lack proper sleep. There are also additional financial pressures in caring for a new family member and taking time (sometimes unpaid) away from work. Post-birth, the medical focus is primarily on the new baby. Though newborns are checked multiple times in the...
