Breaking the Impasse: Reducing Protracted Internal Displacement as a Collective Outcome

United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs. 06/05/2017 This 160-page study examines the causes, impacts, and challenges of protracted internal displacement, and proposes an approach that allows internally displaced persons to reach self-sufficiency sooner. It makes recommendations to key stakeholders, such as national governments and the United Nations, on concrete actions to take to implement this approach and effectively address protracted internal displacement, which can be caused by conflict and disaster.
