volunteering in africa vs middle east vs asia

If you were offered to volunteer in 1)south africa, ghana, 2) palestine, jerusalem, iraq, turkey 3) india or 4) china/korea/japan, where would you go if all expenses are paid?

I remember seeing a thread where all sdn'ers were saying going to africa in particular out of all countries somehow is what adcoms are amazed by in scribe vs africa thread.
Is volunteering in africa that much glorified compared to other countries?

Any thoughts?
