Enhancing Learning and Research for Humanitarian Assistance. 11/2016 This 24-page document is the executive summary of an independent review of the Research for Health in Humanitarian Crises (R2HC) emergency Ebola Call for Proposals, with the objective of assessing the value of conducting research during a serious health epidemic. The review documented the incentives and challenges of undertaking research during the height of the 2014-2015 Ebola crisis in West Africa; reviewed the outputs of the eight R2HC-funded research projects; and documented key achievements of the initiative, including the utility of the research during the epidemic and beyond.
