Elder abuse prevalence in community settings: a systematic review and meta-analysis

Review of 52 studies (28 countries) found a pooled prevalence rate for overall elder abuse of 15.7%. The rate was 11.6% for psychological abuse, 6.8% for financial abuse and 4.2% for neglect. Authors highlight that elder abuse is a neglected global health priority.
