U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, Office of the Assistant Secretary for Preparedness and Response. 01/04/2017 This 27-page report describes the Future/Youth Leadership Working Group, which was formed to consider the issues and opportunities associated with engaging the nation ' s youth in early identification and development of next-generation leadership in preparedness, response, and resilience. Considering the issues and opportunities for youth from a range of language and cultural backgrounds, family composition, socioeconomic status, and other factors, the group identified promising practices; highlighted the unique contributions youth can make to community and national preparedness and response; and made recommendations.
