World Health Organization. 06/2017 This course on communication essentials in public health for Member States aims to provide the knowledge and tools needed to communicate effectively during disease outbreaks and health emergencies. The five modules cover what a single overriding communication objective (SOCO) is and how to develop it; stakeholder analysis and strategies to define a target audience; risk communication framework and ways people perceive risk; developing a story line; and dealing with the media.
