Teva launches generic version of Merck cholesterol-lowering medicine
Teva Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd. said Monday it has launched a generic version of the cholesterol lowering medication Zetia.
Zetia, which contains the active ingredient ezetimibe, is a prescription medicine made by Merck (NYSE: MRK) used to lower levels of total cholesterol and low-density lipoprotein (LDL) cholesterol in the blood.
