First anniversary of end of Ebola outbreak in West Africa

Friday 9 June 2017 marks the one year anniversary of the end of the Ebola outbreak in West Africa. The outbreak of the Ebola virus in 2014 –2016 in Guinea, Liberia, and Sierra Leone caused major loss of life and disrupted livelihoods in West Africa. The outbreak was the largest and most complex Ebola outbreak since the virus was first discovered in 1976. There were more cases and deaths in this outbreak than all other outbreaks combi ned.
