Targeted therapies show initial effectiveness in subset of papillary thyroid cancer

(Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center) Two immunotherapy drugs currently approved by the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) for the treatment of melanoma also show promise for treating a rare but aggressive form of papillary thyroid cancer, according to new research led by The Ohio State University Comprehensive Cancer Center - Arthur G. James Cancer Hospital and Richard J. Solove Research Institute.
