Transfusion medicine across the species

Wendy Barnett comments: I would like to apologise to Mr Barr for this inaccuracy. This was an accidental oversight and I appreciate that equine plasma has been available for longer than canine blood and plasma products. As this book is focused on small animal transfusion medicine and blood banking, my comment was referencing the availability of canine blood and plasma products. I still consider canine transfusion medicine to be in its infancy but I accept that I should have specified the species within my review.
