IgG4-related diseases; whole-body FDG-PET/CT may be easier to evaluate rare lesions

Conclusion: In this educational exhibit’s review of various imaging findings of IgG4-related diseases, FDG-PET/CT was highlighted as an effective tool for assessing the location of lesions, particularly those that are difficult to detect with conventional imaging methods (e.g., central nerve and cardiovascular lesions without symptoms). Nuclear medicine professionals, who have a chance to diagnosis systemic diseases, will be able to understand potential of metabolism imaging and appropriately evaluate those studies.
