DaVita acquires Polish dialysis company
DaVita Inc. expanded its offerings in Poland Thursday, purchasing dialysis provider Centrum Dializa II as part of its strategy to ramp up its international division.
The Polish company runs 47 dialysis centers that treat some 1,750 patients across the eastern European country. Combined with DaVita’s 2013 acquisition of six Polish dialysis centers run previously by rival Fresenius Medical Care, the Denver-based kidney-care provider (NYSE: DVA) now operates 53 centers and employs 830 workers in…
