Telemedicine opens doors for patients
Virtual office visits could become more commonplace as more sectors of the health care industry come to value the long-distance relationship between doctors and patients.
Known as telehealth, the service allows doctors to diagnose and treat patients with certain conditions in real time via two-way videoconferencing and other connections. That includes remote monitoring, which allows providers to keep track of changes in patients’ vital signs.
