Philips picks up airway clearance device dev RespirTech Royal Philips said today it inked a deal to acquire airway clearance solution developer RespirTech for an undisclosed amount. St. Paul, Minn.-based RespirTech was founded in 2004 and has approximately 210 employees. The company produces airway clearance devices for patients with chronic respiratory conditions, such as chronic obstructive pulmonary disease and cystic fibrosis. Read more 4. Proteus, Otsuka take another run at FDA approval for Abilify-smart pill combo Otsuka Pharmaceutical and Proteus Digital Health said today that the FDA accepted its resubmitted new drug application for their “smart pill”.
