Mark Wallenmeyer Named NWACC Dean of Health Professions

BENTONVILLE – Mark Wallenmeyer has been named the new dean of the Health Professions Division at Northwest Arkansas Community College. Wallenmeyer, who currently serves as the program director of the Nuclear Medicine Advanced Associate and Nuclear Medicine Imaging Sciences Program at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences, will join the college on July 1. Wallenmeyer received his bachelor’s degree in biology from Southwest Baptist University and then earned a certificate of Nuclear Medicine from Baylor before completing his MBA in health care administration from the University of Phoenix. He joined the Department of Nuclear Medicine Imaging Sciences of the College of Health Professions in 2003. Wallenberger began working in nuclear medicine in 1992. He has served as the president of the Missouri Valley Chapter Technologist Section of the Society of Nuclear Medicine in Springfield, Missouri, and was elected as the national President in 2007 of the Technologist Section of the Society of Nuclear Medicine. Wallenberger replaces Tim Cornelius, NWACC vice president for Career and Workforce Development, who has served as dean in an interim capacity since June 2016.
