ConclusionVernakalant has antiarrhythmic effects in this experimental model of acquired LQTS. A reduction of spatial dispersion of repolarization and a stabilization of temporal dispersion in hearts showing polymorphic VT represent the major underlying electrophysiological mechanisms.
